Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of Terv, the app and website at https://terv.app, provided by [COMPANY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Terv you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Terv.
The service
Terv is a personal task and goal planner with an in-app AI assistant. We may add, change or remove features over time and will try to give notice of changes that matter. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy, including how Terv uses AI.
Your account
You need an account (email and password) to use Terv. Keep your password private and tell us if you suspect someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE] years old to use Terv.
Acceptable use
Use Terv for your own personal planning and only in lawful ways. Do not attempt to break into, overload or disrupt the service, access other people's data, reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law allows, or use the assistant to generate content that is illegal or harmful to others.
Subscriptions, trial and cancellation
Planning by hand is free and stays free. The AI assistant — chat, photo reading, dictation and read-aloud — is the paid part, offered as Terv Pro, an auto-renewing monthly subscription bought through the App Store.
- Price and period. The price and the billing period are shown in the App Store in your own currency before you confirm, and that is the price that applies. The subscription renews every month until you cancel.
- Free trial. A 7-day introductory free trial is offered when you are eligible. Eligibility is determined by the App Store for Terv's subscription group; if the trial is not offered to you, the subscription simply starts as a paid month. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not billed.
- Renewal and cancellation. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the period ends. You cancel it in Apple's subscription settings on your device — not in Terv, and not by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
- Refunds. Purchases are made from Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. We cannot issue, promise or refuse a refund on Apple's behalf; we will help you with the request where we can.
- AI credits. A subscription includes an allowance of "AI credits" for each billing period. Credits are a usage allowance, not a currency: they have no cash value, cannot be bought separately, transferred or refunded, and unused credits do not carry over — every period opens a fresh allowance. Chat, photos, dictation and read-aloud all draw on the same pool, and how much a request uses depends on the work it takes. A daily safety limit also applies so that one runaway day cannot use up a whole period; it clears the next day and does not reduce your credits.
- When credits run out, or the subscription ends. Manual planning keeps working exactly as before: tasks, ideas, goals, projects, the calendar and family sharing need no subscription. Nothing you created is deleted because an allowance was used up or a subscription expired.
- Changes. If we change the price or the allowance, we tell you before it applies to you, and the App Store asks you to agree to a price increase.
Purchases in the iOS app are billed by Apple and are governed by Apple's terms. There is no other place to buy Terv Pro today; the web version of Terv has no checkout.
AI assistant
The assistant is AI. Its answers, summaries and suggestions can be incomplete or wrong, and it may take actions on your data (such as creating or editing tasks) when you ask it to. Review what it does. You remain responsible for the decisions you make and the content you keep based on the assistant's output. The assistant does not provide professional financial, legal, medical or other advice. You agree to AI processing in the app before the first request and can withdraw that agreement at any time in Settings → AI and your data; withdrawing it stops the AI features but does not cancel a subscription.
Your content and our rights
Everything you put into Terv stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store, process and display it back to you in order to run the service, including sending it to the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy when you use the assistant. Terv itself — its software, design, name and logo — belongs to us and our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Terv and delete your account at any time from the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by writing to support@terv.app. Two things to know before you do:
- Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in Apple's subscription settings, or it keeps renewing.
- Items you shared with a family space stay with that family so their plans survive; they are attributed to "a former member".
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we must close to protect the service or comply with the law; where reasonable we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Terv is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always work without interruption or error, and the availability of the AI features also depends on providers we do not control. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits arising from your use of Terv, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including consumer rights that apply where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Terv after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and disputes are handled by the courts of [JURISDICTION], without affecting any mandatory consumer protections you have under the law of your country of residence.
